Our work ranges from evaluation to workshops/training to group development and facilitation and strategic planning. Our approach synthesizes the models of Critical Pedagogy, Adaptive Leadership, Marxism and Critical Race Theory. Please contact us and we can talk about your project. Strategic Planning
From overall organizational planning to project-based engagements, we will help you set goals, design strategies and work towards the vision. Our aspiration is to help predominantly white institutions to create fairer processes, outcomes and share power and predominantly Black and people of color organizations to increase power.
Creating Alternatives to the White Racial Frame
Mindsets, governance and activities rooted in beliefs of the supremacy of European descended people and culture are the dominating frames of the nonprofit arts sector today. We help organizations see how they perpetuate these frames and then create learning projects that create new space and alternatives.
Grantmaking Design
Supporting program officers in the development and implementation of grantmaking design that expands the program or foundation’s circle of influence, employs anti-racist analysis and better embodies values of justice.
Coaching
Having experience building, managing, performing and teaching in 501-C-3s and then working in philanthropy for more than a decade has given Justin quite a bit of varied experience in the nonprofit sector. It can be helpful to have a thought and action partner to help solve a particular challenge.
Facilitation
Supporting organizations in the designing, conducting and debriefing of a variety of focus groups and meetings.
Evaluation
Evaluating both the impact and implementation of programs with a particular interest in participatory evaluation.
